Sonya Daniels-Hines is a dedicated author and advocate for women and girls, driven by her passion for storytelling and empowerment. With a degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from SUNY Erie Community College and a writing diploma from the Institute of Children’s Literature, she shifted from a successful career in communications to follow her love for writing. Known for her literary contributions, including the much-admired piece “Gift of Words,” Sonya is a Distinguished Member of Poetry.com. As I revisit Gift of Words in 2025, I do so with the intent of preserving its original essence. While time and growth have shaped my journey as a writer, I believe that the heart of this collection remains timeless. I’ve made only slight updates, ensuring that the spirit of the book remains true to its first publication while reflecting the natural evolution of my voice.
